This was the 1st meeting between these two sides in the League following 2 previous meetings in the cups with both games Longhoughton winning both by one goal. Galaxy knew they needed to bounce back following last weeks disappointing performance at home to Cramlington Juniors and put in a performance that would see them take the points.
 
The start of the game was very even with both sides going close with early efforts but both failing to find the target with their efforts on goal, mid-way through the 1st half Galaxy struck as Callum slotted home after racing clear of the defence to see Galaxy take the lead and that is how it stayed 1-0 half time.
 
The 2nd half seen Longhoughton push hard for the equaliser with them applying alloy of pressure and they forced a few corners which they attacked very well indeed. Galaxy looked solid at the back and always looked dangerous going forward as they looked to push on and grab the 2nd but the game finished 1-0 Galaxy in a very evenly contested game of football.
